Our Story
About Himalayan Voyagr
Himalayan Voyagr was founded by a group of Sherpa guides and travel professionals who grew up in the shadow of the world's highest peaks. For over fifteen years we have been crafting journeys through Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and Ladakh — journeys led by people who call these mountains home.
To create transformative travel experiences in the Himalayas that benefit local communities, protect the fragile mountain environment, and connect our guests to the cultures and landscapes that make this region unlike any other on Earth.
What We Stand For
Our Core Values
Local First
We are locally owned and locally staffed. Every guide, porter, and office team member is from the region they serve, ensuring authentic experiences and direct economic benefit to mountain communities.
Safety Without Compromise
Every itinerary is built around safety. Our guides carry emergency oxygen and satellite communication, and our evacuation protocols have been refined over fifteen years of high-altitude operations.
Environmental Stewardship
We follow strict Leave No Trace principles, eliminate single-use plastics on trek, and contribute a portion of every booking to the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee.
Fair Wages
We pay our porters and guides above the industry-standard rate, provide proper gear, and ensure insurance coverage. We are a certified Partner of the International Porter Protection Group.
Small Groups
We cap our group sizes at twelve travelers and never merge groups. This keeps the experience intimate, reduces environmental impact, and allows our guides to give each guest genuine attention.
Transparency
Our pricing is all-inclusive with no hidden fees. What you see on the itinerary is what you get — and if something is not included, we say so plainly before you book.
